Abstract
We have developed a new multichannel TCSPC instrument capable of measuring 8 time-resolved fluorescence channels with count rates exceeding 10 million cps in combination with a powerful laser source at 735 nm offering up to 160 mW of power in the picosecond pulsed regime. The high laser power allows both very fast and precise TCSPC measurements as well as camera based intensity measurements. The TCSPC and laser modules are designed for incorporation into a new mammography system for simultaneous acquisition of tomographic and time-resolved data of fluorescence and laser photons.
