Abstract
Light sources in the 400-500-nm wavelength range are important for increasing the density of information stored on optical disks. In view of the absence of laser sources in that wavelength range, efforts are under way to double efficiently the frequency of existing lasers by parametric interactions in nonlinear optical crystals.1 One class of material that has received great attention recently is that of organic polymeric materials for electrooptical applications.2 in this work, these materials are used for generating phase matched second harmonic light in a waveguide.
