Abstract
Dammann gratings of binary phase structures generate multiple beams of uniform intensities.1 Recently, it has been shown that the binary phase grating can generate even numbered beams if the even diffracted orders are suppressed.2 On the other hand, symmetric multilevel phase gratings, which have discrete phase levels based on a constant phase step, have been studied in order to improve diffraction efficiencies.3
