Beam quality improvement for neon-like ge x-ray laser

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

In order to get high brightness and coherence Neon-Like Ge X-ray Laser, we carried out two rounds of experiments. The output laser intensity 2.4 × 109 photon/μm and time-integrated divergence 0.8 mrad were observed. We developed a simple mode amplification GMA code to simulate these experiments. According to the simulation the non-coherence laser intensity was less than 0.3% and the time resolution divergence was about 0.4 mrad, which was near to the single mode divergence. Furthermore, we research how to reduce the time-integrated divergence and the in-coherence laser intensity.
