Droplet-based Opto-microfluidic Device for Microplastic Sensing in Aqueous Solutions

Abstract

Identifying microplastics is a key step to reduce their impact on the ecosystems as serious pollution source. We propose an opto-microfluidic device able to detect the presence of plastic microspheres when dispersed in water droplets.
