Abstract
Lasing action in optical fibres has recently become a field of its own, providing a number of new research topics in both physics and engineering. Owing to fibre birefringence in the cavity, a polarised pump and a longitudinal pumping system, the fibre laser exhibits polarisation effects [1,2,3]. In this paper, we report an investigation of the nonlinearity in a twin-cavity fibre laser.
