Abstract

The optoacoustic effect is a process of acoustic wave generation resulting from the absorption of light and its conversion into thermal energy of the absorbing medium.[1, 2] The laser induced optoacoustic effect has often been used to measure the absorbing spectrum at low chemical concentration.[3] Recently, the optical fibers have been applied in the optoacoustic measurements.[4] Using this principle we designed the optoacoustic fiber-optic system for measuring of chemical concentration of liquid solutions.
