Abstract
Separate determination of the nonlinear optical bulk- and surface-properties of well-aligned centrosymmetric crystals has frequently been discussed.[1] Here we consider the use of vicinal crystals to separate quadrupolar bulk- and surface-terms from the dipolar surface contribution to the second-harmonic (SH) signal.
