Abstract
The configuration of Figure 1 was suggested by Grangier et al. [1] as a means of violating Bell’s inequalities using detectors which are sensitive to the phase coherence between the two outputs of an optical system. The phases of the local oscillators act as locally adjustable parameters and the intensity at each of the four photodetectors act as the non-negative physical quantity which enters the expression for the Bell correlation function.
