Abstract
Nanosecond pulsed UV radiation with 1 kHz pulse repetition frequency has been generated at 266 nm and between 204 nm and 390 nm by frequency-quadrupling the output of a nanosecond Q-switched diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser and by frequency conversion of an optical parametric oscillator, respectively. Average powers of 2.2 W have been obtained at 266 nm and more than 50 mW at 250 nm.
