Abstract
Recent advances in self-organised quantum dots have provided us an opportunity for studying the ultrafast carrier dynamics in the O-D quantum structures. Understanding the processes such as carrier relaxation and thermionic emission in quantum dots in are not only keys to the performance of potential high-speed devices, but will also reveal the fundamental physics required to engineering them.
