Abstract
We are developing a multicomponent immunoassay technique in which a small sample can ne simultaneously analyzed for a large number of species of microorganisms. Sensitivity is sufficient for the detection and identification of individual organisms. While the present scheme requires manipulation and visual observation by the analyst, the technique could be readily automated.
