A rewritable optical disk system with over 10 GB of capacity

Abstract

Recently, the capacity of an optical disk was increased up to 4.7 GB such as DVD with a demand of playing back a digital video. In order to record a digital video data more than 3 hours, the capacity of a rewritable disk is expected to exceed 10 GB.
