Abstract

Pump-controlled L-band EDFAs in feed-forward scheme give significant transients due to gain difference on wavelength of input signal when only a few channels are left. The fiber -Bragg-grating-added pump-controlled L-band EDFA eliminates the wavelength-dependent transients.
