Abstract

This study of the silver-magnesium fluoride composite system was undertaken in order to clarify the relationship between the microstructure of the material and its optical properties. We were interested in making a range of cermet systems, determining their structure as well as we could by direct means, observing their optical properties and correlating those properties with various theoretical models of composites.
