Abstract

The general analysis of the propagation of electromagnetic waves through multilayer periodic structures has been carried out by the auther. The analysis of the results obtained reveales, that along with traditional quarter wave-length (or multiplied of) layers, other structures can be constructed. The algorithm of their synthesis is based on the absolute minimization of the layers' optical thickness. This minimization is carried out relatively to the alterating of the phase of wave which is reflected from the whole structure.
