Abstract
Imaging spectrometers have been developed and matured over the past 30 years beginning with developmental airborne systems. Beginning with the NASA Hyperion instrument, space borne systems are providing data to a broad user community to explore the myriad applications of spaceborne imaging spectrometer data. This presentation will explore the range of terrain characterization applications and products which are being addressed currently and those that could be met in the future as sensors are improved and tailored to the user needs.
