Abstract
A single-polarized Zn-diffused 1×2 optical switch of 1.55 µm wavelength is demonstrated on a y-cut LiNbO3 substrate for the first time. It shows that the Zn indiffusion process can make a well single extraordinary polarization waveguide with non-degraded electrooptic properties.
