High Gain End Pumped Lasers

We discuss in this paper, the development of high gain end pumped lasers utilizing increased brightness diode array pump sources. We compare the characteristics of materials such as Nd: YAG, Nd: YLF and Nd: YV04 using these new diode pump sources and in particular demonstrate a factor of two increase in laser brightness.
