Abstract

Dammann gratings of binary phase structures generate multiple beams of uniform intensities.¹ Recently, it has been shown that the binary phase grating can generate even numbered beams if the even diffracted orders are suppressed.² On the other hand, symmetric multilevel phase gratings, which have discrete phase levels based on a constant phase step, have been studied in order to improve diffraction efficiencies.³
