Abstract

A compact solid-state Raman pulse compressor - amplifire system was developed and 25ps duration, 1mJ energy pulses with 45MW peak power were obtained at 100Hz repetition rate. This short pulse beam was applied to PDP glass marking, copper-laminated poly-imide film cutting, and silicon wafer cutting.
