Quick creation of Bose-Einstein condensate using a novel double magneto-optical trap system

Abstract

We have constructed a simple double magneto-optical trap system for a quick creation of a Bose-Einstein condensate. More than 109 atoms are continuously accumulated with a resonant cw laser within a few seconds.
