Ultracompact and Broadband InP/InGaAsP Polarization Beam Splitter using Brewster’s Law

Abstract

We propose an ultracompact InP/InGaAsP polarization beam splitter based on the Brew-ster’s law. With a footprint of 30×35 µm2, >20-dB polarization extinction ratio and <0.4-dB insertion loss are obtained over the C and L bands.
