Cumulative Dynamic Inter-Core Skew Measurements in Spooled Uncoupled Core Multicore Fibers

Abstract

We measured the propagation delay fluctuations and dynamic inter-core skew of 125 µm cladding, 4-core fibers with 15.7, 29.5, and 50 km lengths. The measurements provide insight on the skew dependence on transmission distance.
