Abstract

Laser forming is defined as a metal forming process by thermal stresses under laser irradiation without an external force exerted to materials.1 The cw high power CO2 laser of 1.5 kW was used for this new metal forming technology.1 This paper deals with the possibility of laser forming using low power lasers.
