Abstract

To improve CVL output power it has been shown that it is very interesting to reduce electronic density at the end of the post-discharge phase [1].

This attenuate the skin effect of the electromagnetic field and avoid an over-population of the lower laser levels before the lasing phase [2]. The HBr molecule can reduce the electronic density by dissociative attachment during the post-discharge [3].
