Use of Blue InGaN LEDs for the Setting of Light Activated Dental Composites

Abstract

Over the past two years high power, (several mW) blue LEDs have become commercially available1. Such devices have started to make their appearance in practical devices, in particular in large outdoor displays. We have investigated their potential use in the dental field, in particular their use for setting light activated materials.
