We present phosphate glasses doped with PbSe quantum dots (QDs) as new passive Q-switches for 1.54 µm Er:glass laser. Laser parameters are compared for glasses doped with QDs of different diameters. Absorption saturation measurements at 1.54 µm of these glasses were carried out.
