A Reliable Approach to Membrane Photonics: The T-Guide

Abstract

A scalable and reliable technology for membrane-type photonics is demonstrated on an all-silicon platform, showing low mid-infrared propagation losses of 1.75 dB/cm at a wavelength of 3.6 μm, with waveguides up to 5 cm long.
