Abstract

Connecting cascaded Mach-Zehnder interferometers with apodized grating assisted Michelson interferometers enables a wavelength (de)multiplexer with -37 dB optical channel crosstalk, -2 dB optical insertion loss, and -25 dB optical return loss on silicon-on-insulator.
