100-km Polarization-Orthogonal Self-Homodyne Coherent WDM Transmission Using Nonlinearity Suppressed SOA

Abstract

We propose an SOA enabled polarization-orthogonal SHC WDM transmission scheme utilizing multiple-wavelength orthogonal LOs for nonlinearity suppression. Successful 800Gb/s 4-channel WDM transmission is demonstrated over 100km SSMFs.
