Abstract

Results of preliminary studies on measurements of specular reflectance (for angles of incidences: near normal to 60 degrees) and transmittance (for angles of incidences: normal to 60 degrees) on DLC films on both surfaces polished germanium as substrate in the spectral region of 400 to 4000 wavenumber are being discussed. The results of specular reflectance and transmittance measurements supplement each other and both are useful to characterise DLC films.
