Fresnel Holograms Generation Using the Fast Cosine Transform

Abstract

In this work, we suggest the use of the Two-dimensional Cosine Transform for fast calculation of Fresnel holograms. We show that the compression capabilities of the Cosine Transform can decrease the time in the holograms design, resulting in good quality image reconstructions.
