Abstract
Direct modulation of complex amplitude is obtained by aperture variations on a reflective aluminum layer deposited over a variable thickness SiO2 substrate. The magnitude modulation is controlled by the aperture area, and the phase modulation is controlled by the thickness of the Si02 substrate.
