Abstract

Two basic methods for stabilization of deterministic chaos or, in general, stabilization of unstable point are commonly used They are OGY (Ott, Grebogi, Yorke [1]) method and Pyragas method [2]. In both techniques, stabilization is based on the use of feedback. In OGY method [1], one varies a system parameter according to the change of the system variable: one basically balances the unstable state by appropriately shifting the unstable point in the parameter space. In Pyragas technique [2], one applies a restoring force according to the change of the system variable. Thus, both techniques require the knowledge on the present, or recent state of the system.
