Large-Scale Thermo-Optic Phase Shifter Array with Feedback Photodiodes

Abstract

We present a 288-element thermo-optic phase shifter array with feedback MZIs and photodiodes and demonstrate a thermal crosstalk correction algorithm. We also compare PAM and PWM driving and investigate the scaling limits of TOPS arrays.
