Abstract

Recently1,2) we developed the plastic radial-GRIN rod with an excellent imaging property throughout the whole lens diameter, by the photocopolymerization of the ternary monomer system. The index distribution of the glass GRIN rod prepared by the ion exchange method3) is limited to the distribution where the refractive index monotonously decreases from center to periphery.
