Visualization of Integrated Optical Microcircuits by Fluorescence

Abstract

In parallel to the important progress made in many laboratories (1,2) in the realization of microstructures for integrated optics, we have developed a method to visualize optical fields propagating in these structures, based on the examination of the fluorescence emitted by a film deposited on these guides (3).
