Abstract

We report the first direct measurements of electronic dephasing in CdSe semiconductor nanocrystals using femtosecond photon echo techniques. Measurements indicate an ultrafast dephasing within a few tens of femtoseconds, which varies weakly with temperature over the range from 15 K to 290 K.
