Abstract
Exciton-phonon interaction and its effects on optical properties have been one of the subjects of extensive research. In particular, the competitive behavior between coherent and diffusive propagation of excitons plays key roles in excitonic optical nonlinearities as well as their dynamical responses. Recent development of laser technologies has made possible precise spacio-temporally resolved spectroscopy of these excitations, which can clarify the dynamical processes such as diffusion and coherent propagation of excitons in solids.
