Abstract
Atomic wave interferometry offers exciting possibilities for studies in fundamental and applied research. The rich internal structure of atoms allows to study the influence of various interactions, e. g. with light fields. Furthermore beam splitters and other “optical” components for atoms can be realized with light fields.
