Nonlinear Optical Processing of Femtosecond Waveforms using Second Harmonic Generation

Abstract

We discuss nonlinear processing of shaped femtosecond waveforms using second harmonic generation under conditions of large group velocity mismatch. Our experiments demonstrate novel pulse processing functionalities as well as high nonlinear frequency conversion efficiency.
