Abstract

Preliminary experimental results are reported on all-optical and electrooptical control of transfer of light energy in a GaAs-based multiple-quantum-well-coupled planar nonlinear directional coupler. It is believed that this is the first semi-conductor ΔK switch and the first report on results obtained near the exciton-resonance wavelength.
