Abstract
We previously demonstrated a widely tunable, narrow-linewidth terahertz-wave source that used an injection-seeded terahertz-wave parametric generator (is-TPG)[1]. Since the is-TPG had wide tunability (0.7–2.4 THz), a transform-limited narrow linewidth (<100 MHz), continuous tunability, and the advantage of room-temperature operation, it was a promising source for practical terahertz-wave applications using a tunable monochromatic source [2]. However, the conventional is-TPG required that we tune the incidence angle of the seeder as the wavelength was changed to maintain the noncollinear phase matching condition. Due to the allowable range of wavelength change without any readjustment of mirrors, the continuous tunable range was within a few hundred GHz, and rapid tuning was difficult.
