Abstract

The determination of the axial rotational constants, C₀ or A₀, of symmetric top molecules is normally difficult but is facilitated if the effect of the Δ(k − I) ≠ 0 perturbations are observed. The application of the electric field much increases the chance of the observation of such perturbation.
