Experimental studies on the feasibility of a resonantly photopumped molybdenum laser near 600 Å

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Experimental studies undertaken to demonstrate a resonantly photopumped laser in molybdenum near 600 Å are presented. A two laser approach has conclusively produced enhanced fluorescence through photopumping. Experimental attempts at achieving gain will also be discussed.
