Amplitude-modulated fractional power filter for pattern recognition

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

A new family of filters called the amplitude-modulated fractional power filter (AMFPF) is introduced to compare the performance of various correlation filters. By varying the four parameters used to define an AMFPF, the AMFPF may reduce to any of the five filters: inverse (IF), phase-only (POF), matched (MF), amplitude-compensated matched (ACMF), and amplitude-modulated phase-only (AMPOF).
