Ridge-waveguide InGaAs/GaAs single-quantum-well lasers with an in-cavity quasi-phase-matched Al1-x/GaxAs multilayer heterostructure for surface-emitted sum-frequency mixing

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Surface-emitting second harmonic generation based on nonlinear integration of counter-propagating waves in a quasi-phase-matched Al1-xGaxAs multilayer waveguide has potential applications in novel optoelectronic devices such as integrable opti-G channel are broader than that of those achromatic channel (30°-15°:Phillips & Wilson, JOSA, 1984).
