Abstract

Erasable optical storage techniques using thermo-magnetic writing and magneto-optic reading for high density digital recording have been a subject of recent interest. In this work, the magneto-optic (M-O) storage characteristics of the amorphous Tb-Fe thin films were investigated under dynamic conditions using a 76.2 mm diameter disk substrate and optical system.
