Abstract

Long-distance WDM loop experiments were demonstrated successfully. 80Gbit/s (16×5Gbit/s) IM-DD NRZ signal was transmitted through 7300km dispersion managed transmission line with 0.98μm and 1.48μm pumped EDFA repeaters.
